I was over at the salk institute, nearby campus and i noticed this space. A nice shady place to sit away from the main buildings. I was struck by the no smoking sign, which was a major detractor from the ambiance, probably more of a detractor than an occasional smoker.Somehow this particular sort of invasion seems very representative of our time. The invasion of spaces, not only through the restrictions themselves, but also in the way they are expressed.
